Upgrading Html5 to Studio

Hi I've now been able to upgrade from HTML5 to Studio however, I am not able to compile anything. I get no choices in the Studio target dropdown. I've opened a ticket but I have not had a response yet.

It means I can't test any of the games I'm working on nor create the exe or HTML and Javascript.

Is this an issue seen before?

Just tried it again and it worked for me. Thanks to whoever is jiggling wires behind the scenes- looking forward to using Studio for development!

Did you activate Studio WITH that new license? or did it just start without asking for a license at all?

Did you activate Studio WITH that new license? or did it just start without asking for a license at all?

I activated with the new license. It came back as successfull. Before that happened I couldn't even get past that first window. Once in I can open projects etc but I can't compile or even test anything ... I'm assuming because that dropdown has no target choices to compile to.

money has been deducted by MIN/GOOGLE CHEC 201***********/0
and i havent recieved any mail or any key whatsoever
i have issued 2 tickets on this matter still no answer
what to do

They apparently had so many problems, that its taking them days to get them all.

Even with a small staff, if all of them were looking through the tickets, how many tickets could they do per day? I'm thinking it must've been a massive load to be taking this long. They need to tell us how many people are in the ticket queue and keep track of how many people are having the same problems.

atlast i got my key , thank you yoyo , i think google checkout has delyed the order processing ,
i got my android update key , thank you again yoyo , ill delete the tickets i created
, i guess main problem here is google checkout as most of ppl never used it before , and used it only cos yoyo gave it as only payment method

Please be aware, if you "upgrade" a Studio license to add a module, the new module will not activate until payment has been finalised, and has gone through. After this you should get an email telling you the order is complete, after which you can then get Studio to revalidate and upgrade your license.

If my license doesn't work, can I get a new one?

When people got the link to download the installer, was it the same file for everyone? Some had problems.

GMStudio-Installer-1.0.exe 87.8 MB (92,157,936 bytes)


Can you tell me how many people have tickets total waiting to be dealt with, so I can guess how much longer it'll be?

It says

status: solved

. Why would it say that when its not solved yet? Posting that you had problems the first day, and saying all problems are solved, doesn't really fix anything.

I just went through the upgrade process and it worked for me. I received the download link and it installed fine. So the standard HTML to Studio upgrade process is working. I did not purchase any additional modules, though.

I try again and now it says:

This license key has already been used!


I hit proceed anyway and it says:

YoYo Games
We're sorry

Something has gone wrong with the server.

Our web team has been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly.

Anyway, hopefully someone will find the time to sort this out and fix the problem for me. Just give me a new key and let me try again perhaps.

Is the installer file size I listed the same file size those who got it working have?

http://www.yoyogames.com/my_licenses to see what you have. Sometimes there is a delay before things go through and you can activate things.

Uninstall any Studio beta or GM HTML5 you had before. Make certain to erase the folders, even if they are empty, and especially if they are not, in local, app data, Game Maker or whatever, as well as the directory they were originally installed in.

New problem...

Today I tried to buy the Android extension only, by entering my code, my email adress and clicking on "Android". All this looked fine and it showed the correct price, untill I clicked next. Here it showed the price of GM:S+Html5+Android. Maybe this bug is caused because of the bug I had earlier with the website? I tried on another computer too, and with another email, so I guess it's the code that is bugged, or possibly the website.
