Hey GMC, im dialgpalkia (obviously) and i am lacking the motivation to start a game because i cant think of a good game to try and make..... i cant do 3D and i am an ok proggrammer. So can anyone think of a game or genre i could try to do?

SuDoKu - with a twist. Instead of using numbers, use words that read as complete sentences (this of course takes a bit of preparation, either hardcoded sentences or implement simple grammar rules)

Go outside and look around. If an idea comes up, try to make a game about that. If no idea comes up, go do something else.

You don't have to make a game But if you do, you better be motivated. So if you aren't motivated, go do something else.

I think game making is the wrong hobby for you. Find something that motivates you, and try that instead.

Anyways, try playing some flash games; see if you can find any mechanics that you can combine to form something entirely new. Or you can find a minor mechanic and make an entire game out of it.

I also have trouble, mostly staying focus on one project, and having time and being in the right mood.

and if your having trouble try making a game design document I never done one, but there used for most dev. teams games.

You could ask friends what are some good ideas for a game and write down ideas and you may come up with your own also.

Best motivation (like Full Mental Jacket) have a Drill Sergent yell and scream at you to make a awesome videos game :D!
