Apparently NPT isn't the only geezer on the GMC.Its a nice piece of kit that took me back to plugging my zx81 in back in 1982.
Where did you buy your Pi? Are you in England?

I have been working on computer since 1979, that was a mainframe and I was mainly playing games on it at the time
I bought my Raspberry Pi from Farnell ( I was up at 5.50am on the morning of its launch) I am in England.

I owned (and still own) my Timex Sinclair ZX81.
I remember one of the problems I had with it was the 16K memory upgrade module on the back had a habbit of glitching if moved, causing the machine to freeze.
The solution, atleast for Canadians who had an abundance of thick large rubber bands used to hold hockey shinguards in place, fit perfectly around the unit and held the memory module in place rock solid.
And if you keep up with this geezer crap, I won't share some of my Model-T stories and how we used to play tricks on the ice delivery man.

Being a computer software house from 85 onwards I have a ton of old stuff that I have never thrown away and should probably be in a museum

We can't seem to get them yet in the US. Farnell's US partner is Newark and RS Components US partner is Allied Electronics -- and I'm on their lists (along with thousands of other people I expect). Plus, I see now that Newark isn't taking orders at all. Not a good sign.I bought my Raspberry Pi from Farnell ( I was up at 5.50am on the morning of its launch) I am in England.
Ice delivery? In Canada? You guys will buy anything. And if you keep up with this geezer crap, I won't share some of my Model-T stories and how we used to play tricks on the ice delivery man.

Looks like the second batch is available now (or about to be) -- but only to customers who "pre-registered" their interest in purchasing. I received simultaneous emails from RS Components (UK) and Allied (USA) yesterday, inviting me to order. (one per customer)They stopped taking orders after the first 10,000 orders (on the first morning). Then they changed the system so that people could express an interest in being allowed to put an order in. Then they closed that and went to a 'sorry not taking orders yet' type system.
So today I placed my order with Allied.
No delivery date was given yet, but at least I have an order in place now.
