Hi,

I am currently developping 2 html 5 games. Should I use gamemaker html 5 or the studio version, as I notice that gamemaker html 5 has not been updated for a while. The studio version with html 5 plugin is still beta though (but is being updated often).

So, what is best to use at this moment?

Thanks,

Wouter

I'd advise you to use GM:HTML5, as once GM:Studio is out of beta - and you've already purchased GM:HTML5 - you will get the HTML5 port for free!
So basically, you're only using GM:HTML5 until Studio is out of beta, when it's released you'll be upgraded to Studio anyway, it'll just have the HTML5 port built into it.

Why does it need to be updated, anyway? Have you encountered bugs? If so, report them!

I don't think it matter too much which you actually use right now, unless you are just about finished with a project. Studio appears to be just about finished(at least the first release), so by the time you actually finish a game, it will probably be ready, and it is pretty stable at this point.

What matters is whether you have purchased GM4HTML5 or not. The update for Studio that was released a couple of hours ago is being called "Release candidate" so I'm guessing it won't take much longer for Studio to be ready for release, which will mean the end of the deal with getting the free upgrade to Studio+HTML5. Right now you can get it for $99, but it will cost $299 once Studio is released.
