Simply put: No.

Create a game, give it to your friends, sell it to your friends, make it downloadable on your site, offer it to already established companies, whatever, whichever ... the world is your boisterous oyster.

Assuming your in a country like the UK no you don't, and even if you want a company there are many types some of which dont require any registration or such, just look at small ebay companies. the 2 main things you have to look at though(in UK) is income tax, you have to declare your earnings and VAT registration this is NOT required if your turnover is less than £75thousand (this figure may not be uptodate).

In the UK trademarks (non registered, and only for your sector or area) and copyright is automatic aslong as you can prove the property is yours and put the relevant symbols and clauses like all rights reserved and a date.

You should just brand yourself and have a website and keep intouch and track of any business contacts you get. Thank is plenty to seem proffesional assuming your product is good.

if you live in the states you need a DBA (Doing Business As) and a Tax id. The DBA needs to be filed in your county and costs $8.50 - the tax ID is free and can be obtained from the irs website.

This asumes you want to do it "right" - besides being an Android or IOS distributor you need to have a tax idea first or you cant even sign up.
