I have seen people has in the avatar information the version they own of GM. How are they doing this? I bought today a HTML5 license that was bound to the same email I have in the forums but nothing shows :/.
On the other hand, how many installations can I make with a GM:HTML5 license? I want to install it in 2 computers desktop/laptop. Is there any problem with this?.
Thanks in advance.

Go to your profile, somewhere around the upper right of the screen there should be a button "edit my profile".
Click that and scroll all the way down. There should be a dropdown list where you can choose the version of Game Maker you are using.

Thanks I finanlly found it. I thought they were showing it automatically based on email (Detecting I bought version X).
Could anybody comment about the installations?
All good now.

Thanks mate. It seems I overlooked this info. Well, to be fair I must say I did not read itGMHTML5 can be installed on up to 3 computers you own, as per the licence agreement.
3 are more than enough.

My Macbook and iMac are each partioned into a Windows and Mac partition. So I would want to install Studio onto the Windows partition of each. So now I'm down to two installs.
Then to do Mac development, I need to run a Windows virtual machine in OS X and install Studio into the Windows VM. So there goes two more installs bringing me to a total of four.
Now technically, I guess this is within the language of what the the licence allows, as I would have only installed it on two computers. But there would be four transactions in YYGs license tracking database, which I'm not comfortable with.
Because of creation of Mac exports and the fact that Studio must be run on a Windows OS, the licensing needs for Mac users is double that for Windows only users.
I'm hoping YYGs recognises this.

It's possible they might not flag your installations as excessive. I suppose it depends what happens when Studio "phones home" periodically -- i.e., what "identifiers" the database actually checks. Now technically, I guess this is within the language of what the the licence allows, as I would have only installed it on two computers. But there would be four transactions in YYGs license tracking database...
I'm hoping YYGs recognises this.
But if you are flagged, I'm sure they'll accept your explanation.

On the other hand, why allegedly a mentally healthy man should install GM unto all partitions and all systems available, I wonder? Usually there's a primary and secondary PC's/partitions, so three installations under the same license is quite generously of them. So, just get more specific and choose wisely, if you care.

YoYoGames is a small company, and they know NPT from the forums. So if he explains why he needs additional installs, it's very unlikely they'd refuse just because of the strict "legit interpretation" of their rules.Although it depends on the legit interpretation, I think they still have reserved the right to put one down due to, say, a different version of the events or something.
Oh god... you're in for it now.On the other hand, why allegedly a mentally healthy man should install GM unto all partitions and all systems available, I wonder?
Seriously, NPT explained why he might do that. It seems well reasoned and thought out... unlike your comment.

They /should/ do that. Because then half of the registered members here would have their GM ownership status revealed to be false. xD
