it totally depends on what sort of game it is , however, i mostly prefer a mixture between them , so not a very slang American or a very formal British .

Funny thing is, I used to like British more, but then I got to the age where I realised, you can't understand what they're saying???

 

Yanks are dificult to understand, but not as bad as a good Pom. (Why does Australia call they're two closest allies Yanks and Poms?)

 

 

Anyway, for text in-game, use British english, it's easier to read, less misunderstanding, looks more professional... just don't do any voice-overs...
