GME extends the GameMaker IDE trough Plugins written in UnlimitedBasic (ESX) and adapted DLL´s (EPX). GME provides a small API for UnlimitedBasic but currently not for EPX-Plugins.

Compatibility

GameMaker 8.0 \ 8.1 tested. Lite & Pro & Standard.


Installation

Install GME to a valid Directory of GameMaker where 'GameMaker.exe' is located. Install Plugins into the 'Plugins' Folder now avialable. Run GameMaker trough 'GameMakerEnv.exe' to use Environment or 'GameMaker.exe' for the basic GameMaker IDE.

I may be entirely wrong but im pretty sure this is against forum policies and yoyogames terms and conditions. but im not 100% as im not entirely sure what your doing.

well if it gets officially said that what ever you are trying to achieve isnt against their rules then i may be able to help. I only have a bit of experience of c# and windows forms but as i said before im not sure what your doing/why.

As this does nothing to the runner itself and does not modify or decompile GameMaker, I suppose there is no harm in it...

It doesnt modify the GameMaker.exe permanently. Only a running instance. ;) Start GameMakerEnv.exe.. you get a extended game maker with unlimited possibilitys. Start GameMaker.exe and you get the original GameMaker.

UnlimitedBasic Editor is almost done
This isn´t the Unlimited Studio IDE. I write this small Editor for things like GME, to compile Plugins or Exetuables. I think its done in a few days. For now, it will be only aviable for co-worker´s.

Current Features
- Full Syntax-Hilighting
- Document Settings to edit the Header and manage Attachments
- Explorer for Procedures, Variables, Constants, Structures and Attachments
- Sounds ^^ (like a "blop" when a new term is found)
- Tabs
- Folds
- Auto-Completion
- Syntax Help

A UnlimitedBasic Document can contain Attachments. They will be included in a Plugin. *.ub is a plain Document and *.ubp a packed Document.
Create Exetuable isn´t aviable until Unlimited Studio will release.

Comming Release
You can post Snippets, Scripts and Collections (Multiple-Scripts), add Examples, enable local archiving, rate Entries and much more. To add Files, you need a valid Account on www.gn-d.de or gmc.yoyogames.com. Entry optionally can be posted to a Thread in your Community too. You dont need to login for viewing Archive.

no offense, but are people going to type in there login details to the GMC into your software, and you arent well known? you could just be walking off with them

And theres no API (using OAuth), so theres no other option.

But you just need this to add Entries.

End of the Week. Also beta of Archive and UnlimitedBasic.

If you register with real user data and a reachable Email Address on www.mevedia.de, you can create a standalone Exetuable too.

I'm sorry, but this takes some more time. I'm focused on DesktopWidget currently.

GME already injects the Environment. Currently only EPX Plugins are possible like Ink or Archive. (a separate Thread)

I like this. I like pretty much everything you've shared here and I'm surprised they don't get more attention. They deserve more attention than what they've gotten in my opinion.

Thank you, nice to hear. I adjust my priorities on most wanted Projects, but without feedback it's a hard thing to do.

So currently im focused on DesktopWidget, because it's a more unique thing and can used with different languages.

1.0 Alpha

GameMaker gets tabbed. Had some time and wrote another EPX-Plugin. This is just to demonstrate how it could work, there some Bugs. If there are some interested User, i will proceed this. Finally, Room and Script Editor´s could be tabbed.

This looks very potentialy good, but you should make an overview of what UnlimitedBasic actual features are, and what it could do for GM.
I used to be able to DL UB, but not anymore, IDK where to find it(i think Unlimited Studio, but it says maintance).

Thus far as infos say no plugin works... this is something i will love to use, cause if something isn't in GM IDE, it's impossible to get it done trough yoyo, and doing it yourself, for yourself, what you want in this powerful GM IDE... this gona be amazing.

The Problem is, it's realy fuzzy to learn about the Architecture of the GM IDE and create a Environment to modify it without Errors. It could be easier to create a hole new IDE which supports Plug-ins natively. They call it Studio, but it's still more a "Toy-Editor".

GM Studio ditches some of really major stuff away, and that's the reason ill just never love Studio, i bought the Web Collection ( Steam doesn't tell me that i did, but i damn sure clicked buy the bundle ) and it dissapoints me.

The most usefull thing removed in Studio are Trigger, if you don't know what to use them for, well then you simply missed a damn usefull thing that i just recently found out for what it's used for.

I hope you keep on working on this i would love to see new stuff fully working ones for GME to work with GM 8.1, i could possibly pay to show you that this is the THING.


Are you really using Pure Basic ? I noticed on your website.
I am very interested in your Unlimited Basic btw.
