I'm also going to go and fix all those little things in the game that I didn't get around to doing. As you can imagine, I was kind of rushed from the start, having made everything from scratch and stuff like that. I plan to have an update as soon as voting is over. EVERYTHING will be improved.

I tried the demo and overall I'm actually impressed. It is a real fresh take on side scrolling platformers. And it plays pretty well. A few graphic glitches here and there and the character feels out of place in the world. But overall I enjoyed it.

I give this game a Origami Dragon award for freshness

It seems to be a common theme with a lot of the reviews, with the whole "interesting concept/original gameplay idea" thing. Seeing this has seriously made my week.

Bravo! Totally worth playing!

I found the platforming elements (running and jumping) to be annoying, like I got stuck right near the start trying to jump a small gap with an overhang. However, the game concept and overall gameplay made me really want to get past minor annoyances and continue.

Thanks so much! Glad you like it! I'm aware that the platforming's not perfect, and it's already fixed for the next update.

Of course there is. Here's a screenshot of just one of many things I've changed. I got an autotiling system working too, so making levels will be a lot easier, not to mention prettier.

Seriously? Whoa. That's awesome. If you can, I recommend downloading the zip file. It's the easiest way to try the games.

Uh... What exactly do you mean by that? I don't even have GM Pro yet, it's not like I could make something online even if I wanted to.

And to think that, given another half hour, these are the graphics that could have gone into the Jam 6 version... Ah well.

Edit: Whoa. I also just noticed that I have exactly 99 reputation. It was around 60 last time I checked. I wonder when it got so high?

Anyways I'm thinking of making the first area of the game more like a garden, with trees and flowers and stuff. What do you think?

I really like your new graphics! They have the texture you get when you are wet-folding (which would make another cool game mechanic, as you could produce curves and such). Are you planning an uploading an updated version soon?*

Also, my reputation jumped up by ten or so this jam. But what really surprised me was that I uploaded my jam entry to yoyogame's sandbox and it had over 300 plays in two days. Jams are good for publicity!

make sure they look a little folded on the middle and stuff so it will fit with your theme!
and yeah put a small cottage or outdoorsy type house behind him too!

Thanks. One of the things I'm adding is a fold that lets you make slopes (the mountain and valley folds - if it works properly lol). I'm not too sure about curves, though, since slopes would do almost the same thing, and it might be a lot of trouble to implement. It's a cool idea, so I'll definitely think about it.
