-Solved-

Does anyone have the readme (or a good memory) for the GridSpatialIndexing.dll?
I have the .dll, but it has no readme and the author Damizean's links are down.

This is the wrong place for this question. You should PM the DLL's creator (or even Overbound, who posted the mirror that's also down now), but I've been in similar situations many times, so I'll sympathize with you and just move the topic to the Extending forum. This way, if you're lucky (and don't get a response from the author), you might still find someone who has the docs.

Oops! I didn't realize that I should have posted in extending GameMaker.
Sorry for the bother, and thanks for the advise!

I can get in touch with Overbound at Sonic Retro. He should be able to help with this. He was the one who referred me to this and I've chatted with him before. I'll see what I can do.

If I can't get in touch with him, or if you only have the DLL itself, I can give you a copy of the DASH+ engine, which uses said DLL... and you can try to figure out how it works based on this.

Thanks! I currently only have the .dll (I downloaded Sonic Time Twisted for the .dll). Just having the functions would be excellent.

Got a PM from Overbound. Here is the link you are looking for: SFGHQ topic. You will see a link for GSI. It includes the .dll, a GMK, and a readme.
I downloaded this myself and took a look. The .gmk describes everything in detail. Look over this, as well as the .gmk in the link mentioned below. You should be good to go.

Sonic Dash Page - Sonic Retro Wiki
Go to this page. I created it earlier this year, based on a forum post by Overbound, to start documenting GML Sonic engines on the wiki. You will find a dl link for Dash+. It is a source .gmk, so you should be able to see for yourself firsthand how the .dll works. Be sure to download the + engine, not the older one. The older one does NOT have GSI. You mentioned Damizean. He created this Dash+ engine.

Hope this helps.

-edit-
