Some should already know the MD2 model format is using the Quake games.
Fortunately some members of the GMC already developing scripts as the Omicron, which allows you to load these models.

however long it takes to load a simple model kbts 300.
so I decided to build a dll that loads these models is extreme speed.

I made several comparison tests.
Omicron's script takes 228 seconds to load a model with 199 frames.
and my dll takes 5.7 seconds to load the same model.

is very fast, no?

is still possible to make much faster, allowing load models with 400 frames in 1.9 seconds.
but unfortunately we have to wait the Snake_PL update the gmapi, to support 3D models.

Great MD2 loader! =D
I even discovered that it loaded models it wouldn't normally load using the original MD2 GML script.
Definitly gonna use it for my game. X3

Only problem: When it grabs the texture it goes out from a 256x256 resolution texture.
Some of the textures on my models could only be fixed by resizing the canvas to 256x256 and allign the original sized texture to the top-left corner. =/
I didn't have that problem with the original script! >.>
(I'm using Qtip3.1 to export my models btw. ^^)

Will this ever work with Game Maker 8.1? I know the issue with GMAPI but this looks so pwn D:!

does this work for GM8.1 or Studio..?

If not, what's the fastest way to load md2 models into Studio?
