Ok so this is my game:

A 2D Platformer in which One, or Two players Locally or Online may roam around a world, and collect points.
These points are used to buy turrets, and the players may place the turrets in the world.
The turrets either Shoot by them selves, use a player to man the turret, or simple inflict damage to enemies if they are too close.
There is a time limit, and when the time is up, the two players go back to base.
The players cant attack, and may only have simple stats such as HP and Defense or speed. Not many...
The players may have some sort of customization, like they choose what color they are, or have a name, but again, not much.
The main customization resides in the world itself, and the turrets you have placed.

Now, with this sort of game, what would be better?
Game Makers' Built in mplay functions, or DLL39?

I have tried making the begging with mplay functions, and it isn't going to well due to lag and/or crashing, but it may just be my lack of multiplayer experience....

39DLL is better for all of the online uses :)

MPLAY SUCKS! (it lags a lot, makes unknown crashes some times, while 39DLL doesn't lag that easy  )

Ok, any other options?
I want to know how several people feel about it, because after all, I dont think im making a huge game, so if it was possable to use mplay, then I might do that, but i need to know now before i start.

If you want to make a bad quality online game (laggy, crashing and unknown erros) use MPLAY, If you want to make a good quality online game use 39dll :).

mplay is deprecated, so don't even bother with it.
