Can you guys point me to where you read up on how do to a side scroller. I did some searching and little reading but I have to admit most of the tutorials are slightly over my head. I was wondering what articles or examples you read to point you in the right direction.

Have you tried searching GMC? There's a searchbox up there and you could just type in what you want. I learned when I was half-way learning code and then I saw how simple it was. I also encourage you to use code as well.
