Hello dear community!

Do you remember the Cage Match?
Well, if you have often followed it and/or voted in it, you should know that there were hundreds of games in total that took place there. Every 100 Cage Matches, the "King" was elected out of the games that were the best. Now I want your opinion! Please vote for your favorite! You can also write a comment if you've liked another game better than the ones in the poll. The available choices for your votes are all the games that have made it to the Cage Match Hall of Fame.

The games (there are many so they have been *spoilered*):

*Whooosh!*

Moderator D_Dog here. I'm just going to say that I'm going to + rep any posts that include 1 screenshot of a game from this list, + paragraph written about it, [and I'd encourage others to (silently) +rep 'em, too!!] A picture tells a thousand words, after all.

Try not to all do this for Iji, though, would love to see all the games get at least 1 post dedicated to them. :turned:

I'm going to write about Castle of the Elite.

Quite an old GM games, and although simple, very well executed. Polished gameplay, a puzzle platformer with lots of interesting game objects, and a level editor to round it off. Quite hard!!

Although it didn't grab my vote, and the graphics, and style of the game are very 'humble', it's an excellent game, that well deserves to be one of the cage match elites.

What exactly is the difference between this topic and this current polled topic? Is it that this one has less games, and games that have already all been voted on in the past (some twice)?

There isn't a whole lot of difference, other than the list of games. (although some of them do coincide).
Problem?

Touche.

I voted Iji, because it keeps me entertained longer than any other GM game that I've played.

I am voting for Karoshi Factory by 2Dcube.
It is a great puzzle game and I like it because it's a puzzle, not because of the blood effects (brrrr...blood :geek: ).

Trying to look up some of the 'older' cage match winners has proven a pretty difficult task!

So far I've settled for Earthbound Summer Vacation Scrapbook by darklink750. I've found a working download link on planetfreeplay:
http://www.planetfreeplay.com/game/Earthbound-Summer-Vacation/
(scratch that)
One on caimen.us:

So I downloaded, and fired it up. It's a game that's over 8 years old, yet it's aged well enough to hold it's own against most freeware games released today.
It isn't without faults.. I think the wall jumping is downright tricky, however fans of 'hard' platforming games will love this. It also has some nifty level design with puzzle elements.

Well, I fired up and gave Legend of Shadow a try, (by Darthlupi)

The Legend of Shadow by Darthlupi..

This is a pretty neat game. It's a run&slash platformer, and 'feels' a bit like a shmup, almost, throwing&dodging throwing stars at high-speed. The game's got quite a frantic game pace. Several cool boss fights. The game does NOT screenshot very well, but I definitely recommend it. It's a lot more fun than it looks. ;)
