This looks like you've either got the wrong version of the runner installed, or you've built the Android or Mac version and are trying to download and run them.
I dont fully understand. I thought I had to "make" the runner on my MAC. When I made the IPA. I used the version the "Application-Oven-1.0.dmg" which was in Game Maker Studio's ios folder. Also im certain I'm running the ios version of my project as "iOS" is displayed in the dropdown box inside of Game Maker Studio. My copy of Gamemaker Studio was updated recently could that be the problem?
How can I assure ive the right version of the runner installed. Is there a place I can download it instead of making it; or a place where I can download the parts of it i need to create the correct version

In a future update we will show the version number on the phone so it is more obvious.

When Studio is updated you need to ensure you update the runner on your device too... Or you may encounter the error you are seeing.
In a future update we will show the version number on the phone so it is more obvious.

Viloen: If you have never updated GM:Studio, then you have the latest version of the runner. That is not your problem. I had the same problem as you because my iPad couldn't access the server (whenever I put the server's IP address in Safari, I got a "403 error"). To fix it, you need to make sure the IP of the device you are testing it on (in your case, your iPhone) is in the "IP allowed list" in the GM:Studio preferences OR, even simpler, you could allow all IP's by adding this line: 0.0.0.0/0. Whoever is in charge of the Wiki should definitely make that clearer, because the current instructions seem to indicate that you need to enter your PC's IP address in the "allowed list". That is wrong.
With CIDR notation the /24 describes the first 24 bits (3 octets) as being significant and disregards the last 8 bits. This will be the case if the GameMaker PC and the device are on the same network, which is almost always the case. So it doesn't matter if you put 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.1.1/24 or 192.168.1.123/24.
However, there is a lot of people who don't have a clue what those values should be and when things don't go right start making up crap and sticking it in there. GameMaker should default to placing 0.0.0.0/0, therefore allowing all hosts access. This will remove one potential problem area.
Anybody who wants to restrict host access, and knows what they are doing can easily change it.
