It's down to 94 possible combinations. Everyone is getting VERY presumptuous about the theme, I think it will actually be quite a surprise :)

I may be latching onto a discussion from acouple pages ago, but I don't really comprehend the idea that the theme "Tranquility" would force anyone to make a casual game.

Let's look at the definition, shall we?

repose: a disposition free from stress or emotion.

What you could interpret this as, is that the game itself has a disposition free from stress or emotion. Like a game that has a calm narrator leading you through a zombie apocalypse, or something. You know? Or something like GLaDOS, she was relatively free from emotion most of Portal.

I don't know... a "translation" theme wouldn't really move me. But I think a "gravitation" theme would be rather attractive.

And I'd be completely wiped out if he chose "eradication".

I don't think we've had one before, but it'll probably be something like a limited art palette or something.

We haven't had handicaps in previous Jams, but it's basically a restriction on things you can or can't do while developing your game. For example, "you cannot use the color green", or "you must incorporate the numbers 1-10 in your game at least once," or "all sound effects must sound like animals from Australia" or something :P . Come to think of it, I'd love that last one...

Haha, that would be fun! I guess many would just find some free sounds somewhere, instead of making them themselves though... :verymad:
