Besides, the kid is 10 years old, and it's good publicity for Game Maker.

- Sweet story, no matter what his age or her condition.
- Uncommon story only because of blindness/age.
- It may be just a tutorial with different sounds and colors, but even then it seems to be different enough to be considered original. To put it in perspective, the YYG sandbox had thousands (Note: Number untested) of tutorial edits upload, many of which didn't even change the graphics)
Games for the blind is an interesting idea though. The kid seems to have used only 5 sound possibilities (Correct, incorrect, wall, success, and failure). By using stereo sound, a game could potentially provide a means of navigation through more complex environments; for example, low-volume white noise could indicate a wall (Louder if nearer), with an additional directional sound source to allow the player to figure out what direction they are facing.

Theres a game in the sandbox, its called "The Blind Girl" uses your player is blind, in the screen you can only see she, but sound is what helps you complete the platformer.
I just wish I had the same luck, noone in my school intereses in my videogames :'( .

Don't stress too much, this sort of thing is only 5-minute fame. This kid isn't going to get a group of followers or anything.

I agree. +1 There are plenty of 10-year old game makers (thanks to GameMaker). But the fact this young game maker devoted his skills to help his grandmother is pretty special. The fact a 10 yo made a game is nothing special.
