Hey guys,

Currently having problems with my Game Maker and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. This error message comes up every time I run Game Maker 8.1 on my desktop:

OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Currently have DIrectX 11

Thing's I have tried:
- uninstalling and reinstalling game maker
- re downloading and reinstalling game maker
- trying to use DEP (Data Execution Prevention) but this doesn't work. It says it can't exclude game maker from the list.
- replacing my msvcp100.dll, seemed to do nothing

Help Appriciated! I really want to get back into GM :/

Since you were (apparently) using GM8.1 before this started, ask yourself what's changed. Changes to your OS? A new OS? New hardware? New software?

Well your problem sounds very serious, i can suggest some thing!

1)Make a new p.c user and try to run game maker there!
or if this doesnt work then ...
2)Do a system restore some days back , this may solve the problem!

Try setting DEP to only Windows programs and services.
Ensure you haven't changed the default directory GameMaker installs into, and you're attempting to run it as the same user you originally installed it as.
