Platform: Windows
Version: 1.0a
Download: IconMaker.rar (from my website)

Im currently developing a IDE+Interpreter, and created the possibility to export Sprites as Icon. I thought this feature could need some. So ive written this Tool to create Icons. (Multi-Layered and Alpha-Transparency, 8-32bit)

Some things i will implement too:

- Controlelements will be expanded
- Create Layer
- Edit Layer with different drawing Tools
(All Changes will assumed to the other Layers)
- Scale and crop a Layer
- Create automatic all sizes for a Layer
- Make Background transparent
- Color changes (black/white, brightness, contrast and so on)
- Add smooth Shadow

Features comming for next and later Versions.

- Its now based on Layer and Elements (Vectorelements and Images)
- Activate "Auto-Size" to generate the Element for every Layer-Size with best Quality
- Combine Elements to an Image Object and edit with painting Tools
- Color Adjustments / Brightness / Contrast etc for Image Objects
- Brushes for painting Tools
- Save as project (images will be saved in this file too)
- Blend options for Elements (like Add, Subtract...)
- Grid
- Save single Layer as Cursor or in supported Formats
- MAYBE possibility to import SVG will come too

Elements
- Image
- Text
- Ellipse
- Rectangle
- Line
- Curves to make any shape
and more...

Attributes
- Position
- Size
- Rotation
- Antialiasing strength
- Transparency
- Color (Fill, Gradients)
- Stroke (Size, Color, Cap)
- Font (Color, Gradients, Style...)
...

Old Screens.. the ellipse and image are only on Layer 3. You can choose which Element is to "Auto-Size" and use another Elements on the other Layer. Or "Auto-Size" from Layer 2 only down to 1.

And with gradient filling.. lemon like

So its now more a little Illustrator for icons.

I dont know if there limits for icon size or multi-layer. But i havent problems to use 32bit multi-layered icons (16x16-256x256)
(For now you can use 1.0a in first post to test)

This seems like it might be useful. I'm just not sure why I can't ever use the "Shift" or "Scale" options, they're always disabled.

When I choose Save and then Cancel, it pops up a message saying "Failed to save the file". That seems pointless to me. When I did save a file, it didn't automatically append the file extension. I decided I would save, and typed "icon" for the file name. The file was saved as "icon" instead of the expected "icon.ico".

The disabled Options are not available in this first, and old Alpha-Version. I was focused on the ICO File Format at this time, but next Version with Vector Elements (also importing Windows Meta-Files - export from Illustrator/Inkscape e.g.) is comming next time.

This looks quite cool. I should browse the Extensions forum board more often, I miss lots of nifty little programs.
