For anyone who wants to help out. I have created a level maker for my new game pixel escape. It allows you to make a level save it as a small text file and if you want, send it to be put into the actual game. Pixel escape is not yet released, more levels need to be made, I just thought it would be cool to have other people get involved.

So that you can take credit for your levels you have the option to name the level, and type the author name of the level. This shows up at the start of every level in the actual game.
The email address in which you can send the levels to are in the game info. To get to it right click on the game screen and on the drop down menu choose help.

You can download the level maker here: http://www.mediafire...793ux9lcu9cedux

Thanks you to anyone that actually helps.

New Functions:

Change the jump height/power.
Change the players movement speed.
See the timer value of a laser gun by hovering the mouse over it.
New level added.
Beta version of pixel escape added to the download. This is so you can see how your level will be loaded in the actual game.

Functions:
Add ground/walls
Add player.
Add laser gun.
Add spinning laser gun.
Add wire - deadly when touched.
Add portals.
Add gravity direction changers.
Add slow motion triggers.
Add highlight ground. All must be changed to normal grounds to complete the level. These are changed by walking on them.
Add an end/exit.
Save level to small text file.
Load level.
Set level name.
Set author name.
Add springs
Change the jump height/power.
Change the players movement speed.
See the timer value of a laser gun by hovering the mouse over it.
See the portal number by hovering the mouse over it.
See the help file.
Exit.

Screenshot would be nice, and the actual game with the level maker would be even better. Because if you only have the level maker, you can only make levels, and not play them. Or can you? I don't know because I'm on my phone. Instead of adding just what the game is, also add what the level maker can do. Like test the levels?

Yes you can play all the levels you make. This can be done even as you are placing objects.

For future reference the level maker includes the following objects:

Ground/wall.
Player.
Laser gun.
Spinning Laser Gun.
4 Portals. (Adding more).
Springs.
Wires - deadly when touched.
Slow motion triggers.
Highlight grounds - all must be changed to normal grounds before you can exit the level. they are changed by walking on them.
Gravity direction changers - four basic directions available.
End/Exit.

the options include:

laser gun speed - they shoot at different time intervals set by you.
Set Author name - to set who made the level, can be real name or nick name.
Level name - set the name of the level.
Save/load - saves to a small text file.
Help - instructions.
Exit - exit the level maker

More is being added. Levels made in this version will work with future versions as well.

This is brilliant and deserves many many more plays. Everyone, play this. Play around with it yourself first, then load the levels already created.

Huge congrats for this, and thanks for making such an easy to use level editor. Can't wait for the full game.

Some ideas/thoughts:

Let holding control and shift together allow for bulk deletions.
Expose the variables such as timers, jump height, movement speed etc to the level creator, on a per level basis. I'd love to be able to mess with those variables too.

Wow, just wow. The platforming is responsive and fun, the ideas are great and it's a brilliant sandbox to mess around in right now, let alone what you and the community will come up with in terms of levels.

Are you planning on getting graphics or leaving it minimalistic?

Thanks for the ideas. I will work on that and get back to you when I'm done. I was planning to leave the graphics simple. I'm not great at making sprites yet. Hopefully I will get better. As I said thanks, and ill get to work on those variable options now.
