The game is a simple game where you dodge oncoming traffic. It will have a simple intro screen saying that you drove off with gas and your goal is to get as far away from the games station as possibly. The game is controlled with the arrow keys and menu by clicking on the items. Currently your car is just destroyed and I do not yet have high scores but they are coming. Any bug reports or problems you find will be very helpful! Link below to test the game.

Play On Kongregate

Thanks for playing!

EDIT: Full game has been released. It has been out for a few days now and I already have received some feedback from a couple users at Kongregate and I have plans for a sequel in the works that will be a much more robust game! Let me know what you think of this version to help me with the next.

It runs well, however, it strikes me as odd that you made a game at a 320x480 mobile resolution, but it requires the arrow keys to play!

Well I am planning on creating a mobile version but this one will be placed on the website. So I used the arrow keys as a control method for this version. The mobile version I most likely won't release until studio is out but I haven't quite decided yet.

Thanks for testing it!

The full version has been released and is available to play on Kongregate. I am also planning on creating a sequel which will have more features. I got some good feedback from a few users on Kongregate. Let me know what you think and what you feel can be added to make it a little more exciting. I plan on so far to have different car types and also police cruisers that will come up on you from behind which you will be able to wreck.

I have two suggestions for you :D

Firstly, I'd add a little bit of friction to the car. It's really annoying not being able to let go of the key and have the car stop moving sideways (or "accelerating").

Secondly, the grass on the left hand side doesn't tile well, there's an obvious place where it wraps. You should try to make it less obvious :)

Okay thanks for the suggestions. I can definitely fix both of those issues pretty easily. I am hard at work improving the game and making it hopefully better then average!

Hmmmm...
GM HTML5 games on Kongregate still don't work in firefox. Oh well. Will try in Chrome.

EDIT: It looks OK, except the blue cars are facing the opposite way from the player's car yet they look like they are going in the same direction.

I actually like it how you don't stop moving when you let go of a key. It makes it more of a challenge to go straight (and I like a challenge).

Thanks for playing the game. Right now I am working on a big update which will turn the game into a little more exciting of a game. I am adding in high scores and a few small features. I may also throw in a mobile version to see how it does.
