Accessing Windows Speech Recognition

My first instinct is that no it isn't possible, but I thought I'd get a more expert opinion before trashing the idea entirely. Thus, my expanded question: is it possible to access and use Windows Speech Recognition through Game Maker?

EDIT: I know the solution of linking Windows Speech Recognition by utilizing its "press __" button feature and then keymapping that button to an action in Game Maker. But I'm wondering if it's possible to actually use full functionality. For example, make it so that if you say "shoot" you could have Game Maker (through WSR) use that to activate the shoot function.
