This all started out as a software toy, which turned into what is now Max Mode in the game.
All art was either made from scratch, or came free with game maker lite.
Also, there is no sound.

Gameplay
- You control a little spaceship using the A and D keys to move left and right, and the Spacebar to fire.
- There is a coin collector following your mouse throughout (assuming it's alive) which you use to collect coins.
- Enemies fall from the top of the screen, which you must kill while at the same time avoiding.
- Between levels you have the option of purchasing upgrades using the coins you collect during the game.

Includes
- 11 different enemies
- 3 difficulties
- max mode, with optional invincibility
- 6 upgrades
- animated sprites

Details
- resolution = 600x300
- window = 1200x600, resizeable
- 30 fps
- enemies are introduced intermittently

I just noticed, some of the screenshots have the gm logo in them, but some don't.. that's odd

I've just made some changes so that there are now 2 different difficulties.

normal
- coin values are doubled
- enemies stop spawning once there are enough for you to complete the level.

advanced
- coins are worth the usual 1 coin each
- enemies spawn continually until finish the level.

i'm considering a beginner mode where your collector is invincible unless it is hit by an assassin or kamikaze.

I've added info windows that show up when you hover the mouse over certain buttons. Mainly in the upgrade screen, but also for the game difficulty and max mode buttons.

Additions
- new enemies at levels 23 and 26
- Invincible mode within Max mode

Bug Fixes
- the guys with guns will now kill you if you touch them (only their bullets did before)
- the pause screen will no longer destroy your collector

changes
- Collector will now stay on the screen even if the cursor leaves the window

additions
- decent sprites for all enemies
- seperate sprites to show damage to enemies
- death particles on first 3 enemies
- animation on certain enemies
- noob mode
- if your collector dies in pro mode you lose coins

changes
- certain upgrade prices
- initial shot power is now a little higher
- advanced mode is now pro mode
- the coins dropped in pro mode are the same as in normal mode

fixes
- the shield in max mode invincible works the way it should now
- max mode is no longer labeled level 1001 ingame


i'll upload new screenshots soon.

additions
- info boxes in the difficulty select screen
- check boxes in the upgrade info boxes to show how many upgrades have been purchased, and how many are available
- losing the collector in pro mode now results in 50 coin loss
- losing the collector in average mode now results in 25 coin loss
- up to date screenshots

changes
- the shooting enemy will shoot a bit faster now
- the screen now wraps 10 pixels outside of the view
- the enemy that starts on level 26 will now spawn 5 at a time, rather than 3
- the prices of some upgrades are now different

bug fixes
- if you went to the max mode screen, then back to the home screen you would still have the max upgrades if you played normal mode.

- screen shakes when ship or collector explodes
- the game loss screen now displays the level you reached
