I am making a game with a cat as main character, and I really need it animated but I just can't do it.

Those are the sprites I have, I need a running animation, a quick transition from idle to a jump pose, and a transition from standing to sitting. It would also be cool to have the cat randomly swing about it's tail when idle. Maybe also an animation for climbing onto ledges.

Also, just some extra info, here's kind of the art style of the game:

Very nice kitty cat you have there sir. May I suggest using a reference image if you haven't done so already? You could even scale it down ad draw over it to get a anatomically correct cat. Here is a bunch of vector cats. I believe there is a standing one in the middle.
Also, Are you going to AA the images or keep the edges jagged?

No AA here, would ruin the entire thing. Also I already used a reference image and did exactly what you said about drawing over it. But the standing cat just looks awful every time. The biggest problem is the legs, they always look weird.

1. The neck is too thick
2. The paws/ankles are usually very thin on a cat

Edit: I might have a go at making a cat...

I am kinda pleased with this one, I still feel I could do better though

Also I forgot to upscale this one for your viewing pleasure so it's a bit smaller.

Actually I don't really see a problem with it. The head looks a little small but other than that...

That looks good. I'd probably emphasis the curves a bit more to give it that graceful feline feel.

Something like this:

If you need help animating I may be interested.

Yeah, I'm going to need to have some help on animating it, god it wont work!
I've never really animated anything before.
