Hi,

I post this topic here, because I talk about GM Studio too to describe my problem, so I don't know if I can post it in the GM HTML 5 forum because of the closed beta of GM Studio.

I have a lot of problem with GM HTML 5 upgrade. It doesn't want to upgrade automatically. It says that there is an upgrade....ok, it downloads it ok...After it asks me to click on the "Install and Relaunch" button. I do it. It closes GM HTML 5 and.......do nothing else.

I don't have this problem with Game Maker Studio. There was an update today and this update worked just find. I don't have this problem with Game Maker 8 either.

So What's wrong with GM HTML 5 ? I try to turn off my firewall, antivirus, etc..etc. but that's the same thing. I have to redownload the software and reinstall it.

Please help ^^

Thank you.

With GM HTML 5 yes impossible to update it automaticallty I don't know why. And Game Maker Studio and Game Maker 8 : no problem.

I have to desinstall it and reinstall it. I try to install it in an other folder like program file, that's the same. Today I have uninstalled it, deleted the folder, regkey may be the next will work ? don't know but it's strange.

Both upgrade for both versions worked fine for me on a Windows 7 64bit machine. Try reinstalling GM:HTML5. To my knowledge, registration data is stored elsewhere so it is not lost on reinstalls.

Try to close IDE while updater is downloading, so it would be the only thing to run. Solved problem for me.

I have to do this as well. I can't update GM: HTML5 with the IDE open on my PC with 32 bit Windows 7 but it works fine on my PC with 64 bit Windows 7. Dunno if the Windows version matters or not.

It's not the windows version. I can't update with windows 7 x64. But for my case, I think that is a port's problem.

I don't know but I wait for the next update, if this is the same or not.

Sorry for the double post.

But again, last update doesn't want to install automatically. I tried all the things I can. All other Game Maker work perfectly and update themselves automatically.

I tried to :

- Close the IDE before clicking the "close and relaunch" button
- Uninstall Game Maker html 5 and reinstall it thinking that the next update will work
- Uninstall Game Maker and delete all the reg key I find thinking that the next update will work.
- Try to install it in an other location
- Try to disable firewall and antivirus

Nothing works. I don't understand why GM HTML 5 doesn't want to update itself. I have to download a new copy, deinstall , and reinstall each time.

Thank's for support
