Hello There!
Over the holidays I purchased GM 8.1 and the GM companion book to go along with it and so far this book has been amazingly helpful to me, seriously its a darn good book. Alas though I seem to have run into an issue I have no idea how to fix. I'm currently working on the Zool tutorial and have run into an issue in chapter 5 dealing with the Bee enemy. In his step, step event it calls for this.

Include a Step Avoiding action (move tab) that steps toward the point X=targetx,
Y=obj_zool.y, at a Speed of 10 and avoids all instances.

It appears in game maker 8.1 this even no longer exist and after doing some looking around it seems for a good reason. I'm wondering if anyone would know of a script or a different set of actions that would help the bee object avoid other objects while it's following zool. Many thanks to those that are able to help!

It's second action in category "Steps" of tab "move". If you can't see it there, place a tick in menu:File - Advanced mode.

Nowhere to be found sadly, even in advanced mode. Even on the resources CD when I load the premade gmk file where the Step Avoiding action should be in the action list it states it as an unknown action.

You may want to consider re-installing GameMaker in such case - might have accidentally overwritten a library file with something, or other.
It should be located as the following in a good case:

Versions of GM8.1 prior to 8.1.140 have a few missing D&D icons, one of which is :GM022:.

Run the updater to install the latest version (8.1.141 as of 26/02/2012), then check if it's there.
