Need Boss Ideas.

I need 3 Bosses ideas for my Platform Game. Any ideas?

Kind ones who follow pattern like Castlevania, Contra, Megaman, Ninja Gaiden etc.

Give more context.

-Where do you plan to make the boss fight (or where is the area-before-the-boss located at)?
-How many attacks do you want it to have?
-Should it be able to attack using a physic attack, or just throwing things like lazers?

Wholeheartedly agree with Benxamix2; don't be afraid to give us more information Afi, it will help us to give you better suggestions. I mean: how does the player attack and move? Double jump, single jump? Ranged attacks or melee? All of these things affect how the boss should be set up. :)

totem pole boss where each section of the pole does something horrible to you. and kill it section by section

you left some blood behind while going through the stages and some guy quickly cloned you and remade you 2 times bigger

the entire room rotates clockwise and there's a clocklike boss with clock hands in the middle attacking you with stuff

a half unicorn half and half giant octopus boss

giant mecha cobra with 3 lazer whip tails

the boss plays chess so you battle giant chess pieces

a room with treadmill platforms and the boss is a robot ape that can hang on the underside of the platforms when needed

i seen the test video and he dashes and has that deadly air slash thing, can he jump dash? or attack upwards? or slide? or dash sooo fast that it seems like time stopped? or deflect attacks back to ppl? how bout dodging?

what about a hopping boss? and you gotta dash out from under the shadow. a pouncing sphynx maybe

have a flying boss? the usual giant eyeball that shoots lazers at you

something that attacks from below like a 2 headed sandworm

giant golem in a cave that throws boulders at you, and when runs around, stalactites will drop down on you

a boss that teleports around? flying cloaked figure with a scythe who's really just a big skeleton without a pelvis and legs

a group of wizards of different colored cloaks, each has their own spell. they're only vulnerable when you change your sword color to match their cloak color

If you're looking for ideas on what to make them look like, it would help to know what kind of setting your game has. I can't come up with ideas that befit your game without a little more information.

Okay, I think I'm getting a picture of this then. It's a good idea to have some diversity in the bosses, so each boss battle is different, while they all still match up with the kind of gameplay (it's typically not a good idea for a boss to feel like it's from a different game unless the whole game is like that between individual sections.) It seems like your game is a fairly straightforward action platformer concept with a vaguely anime or action movie style, and with the dashing, an emphasis on quick maneuverability.

I think a good boss to have would be something small that moves quickly. Perhaps something vaguely reminiscent of a ninja, but it could also be a shadow or even a robot or creature. Something that's hard to catch but might not do a lot of damage outright. It could either attack you physically or even shoot at you (especially if it's a robot.)

Aside from that, perhaps something medium sized that keeps its distance from you, attacking from the air or from some other vantage point, requiring some patience to set things up. Something airborne, like a bird, something aquatic, or even something that climbs and jumps, or just something very large where the weak point is hard to reach.

A boss with Chains that whip around the room. He must have big muscles, and every once in a while stomps around the room. If his chains hit you, then they wrap around you, then you need to 'squirm' your way out of it before he throws you in to some sort of lava pit behind him. He doesn't need to be as big as that big ninja thing in your video. You could even have it be three women (sisters from Mount Drextoss, whom hold one of the ingrediants to further bless your sword), with chains, but the concept is the same. Just a shot in the dark ;)

I actually made the shotting guy. His name is Death Skull but i can see from your comment that ppl are expecting some1 like that so thanks :)

As for Caprica, kinda hard but i will work on it if no one gives better ideas. :)

Okay, here is a boss idea.

It's a small robot. For the first half of the fight, his attack pattern is this:

It moves around the field at high speed, tossing bombs in all directions. Watch them and move out of the way of the explosions.

It then flies up and hovers around, fire coming out of its feet. It attempts to use its jetfeet fire to hurt you by swooping down at you occasionally so the fire can reach you.

It lands, and continues this attack pattern.

After the fight is halfway over, the robot's feet are destroyed. Now it moves by hopping around the field. His new attack pattern is this:

It bounces a few times, then does a massive jump. When it lands, it creates a shockwave you must jump over. While it's doing this, it's also throwing bombs everywhere (though not as often as it was during the first phase.).

After three shockwave attacks, it stops bouncing around and fires lasers at a rapid speed. It finishes the laser swarm with a massive laser blast. be sure to dodge this!

The attack pattern loops after the laser blast.

After the robots health is depleted, it starts to flash violently. Move as far away from it as possible, it will self destruct! After this final attack, you win.

What about an evil doppelganger who copies almost every action the player does, but could be defeated with a recently learned ability which the boss would not have?

A knight's armor being possessed by a ghost. The knight would shoot lasers, could block attacks with his shield, could throw his axe like a boomerang using psychic powers? (best as a miniboss for a horror-themed level)

A golem head with two hands that would levitate in the air and try to punch, smack, and pound the player.

A stereotypical kung fu action movie stunt double, who is working with the bad guys. He could be fought on a speeding vehicle like a train to fit his design as an actor.

A muscleman with a grenade launcher replacing his right arm. The grenades could be swung back at him using the player's sword.

A false treasure chest. When encountered, it would reveal two eyes on the inside. Four arms and two legs would grow on the outside. The chest would prepare to beat the player up. This would be an optional boss, only if you went into a certain room you find him.

An insane professor inside an arachnid-based mech. There would be missile launchers on the side.

A giant flying eel-like dragon with enemy ninjas riding on top of it. You must fight your way to the dragon's head and break the energy crystal on it's head.

A yeti that would try to stomp on and throw boulders at the player.

A mutant brain-like creature with tentacles that would spawn smaller pink bat-like creatures.

A young boy with a mask. The mask would change emotions. Each emotion would have a different element. Anger = Fire, Sadness = Ice, Happiness = Electricity

Living Volcano?

An endurance round where you have to fight many hordes of enemies?

Boss recolors with some new abilities (great for some retro-styled games)
