Also, it looks like you may be able to submit HTML5 games to the Windows Store for Windows 8.
And if that isn't good enough for you, apparently Firefox will have an HTML5 web store very soon.

Has anyone written and submitted successfully an HTML5 game written in GM:HTML5? Is there anything special you have to do?

I've been wondering about that too. Even if you can't make money out of that, the exposure will be good.

Yep, it's very possible and quite easy. I turned my HTML5 game "Dodgeball" into a Chrome app - it's available at the Chrome webstore and can easily be (already is for me) installed to the browser.
Dodgeball at Google Chrome Webstore
I was able to play your game Dodgeball instantly and it is quite cool and definitely a challenge to stay alive! Two questions:
1. Could you have charged money to place a game in the store like you did? I'd pay $1 for it!
2. Is there some easy way to take a GM:HTML5 game and submit it to the store as an app so you can get paid for it?
There is a an app in the Chrome Web Store right now called Maze Manor that was created with Construct 2 with an HTML5 output that is in the Chrome Web Store and is selling for (I believe) $2.

If you log in and go to the developer dashboard, there are plenty of instructions on how to set it up.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Although I intend to keep Dodgeball fully free.
But like Dangerous_Dave pointed out, it's easy and fast to setup. You can choose between various different charging methods, set your own price etc.. You can do subscription based payment games, onetime fees, free to play, free to play with ingame items for real money, free trial but with paid version... Just about anything you want. You set the method and the price.

I went to google development and I'm lost. I'm not a good programmer so most of the stuff there looks alien to me. Do I have to use their App Engine on Google Code or App Engine SDK? how does it work?
Thanks

I'v just uploaded my game few minutes ago.
I don't know as for packaged apps but if you host your game at your site that's simple.
1) go to chrome.google.com/webstore/developer/dashboard and log in
2) then you need zip file with 2 files to upload: manifest.json (go to code.google.com/intl/ru/chrome/apps/docs/developers_guide.html to see how to fill it) and icon_128.png with the icon of the game
3) add some information like description, screenshots, payment options etc...
4) pay 5$
that's all )

Guys! Sorry, but I almost did not understand. To me it is in principle the possibility of playing in the store placed with Chrome. If I create the game in the HTML version 5, if I pour it into the shop on line? If this is possible - I buy this version. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Your English is just fine. I'm trying to figure out the same thing. What I want to do is create an HTML5 game with GM:HTML5 and then upload the game to the Chrome Web Store. If anyone has done this, can you tell us what hoops you had to jump through to do this? There are tons of games in the store and I'd like to be one of them someday.

I loaded your game and it reminded me of happy days a long time ago when I lived in Michigan and went ice fishing on Houghton Lake. Talk about masochistic activities. You sit inside a little shed all day and freeze and maybe catch a fish or two. Insane!
I'm still looking for a way to export my games directly to Chrome. But your game was fun and different. Where did/do you ice fish?

And even the developers can not answer this question? Or, for that you need to buy GM? =/
I guess no one has done this yet. In theory, any HTML5 game can be uploaded directly to Chrome but I guess no one here has done that yet.

I don't think you need to use the App Engine, which is definitely rocket science. What I need to do is create a real fast app and then see what hoops I need to jump through. I'll call it "Really Dumb App" and post it under another name.
