Here is a brief description of the game idea:

You choose part of a Galaxy, a Solar System, and then a Planet. The Planet could be empty or it could be inhabited with strange creatures. You use your first weapon, Zombies, to conquer the Planet. When you conquer more Planets, you get new weapons and/or creatures to dominate with. You sometimes earn rare items when you conquer a Planet. You get a free upgrade when you conquer a Solar System. You get 2 rare items and a free upgrade when you conquer parts of a Galaxy. You get an upgrade for your ship to travel to other Galaxies when you conquer the Galaxy!

I haven't created a full story for it, but ill think of one soon. What I need is an idea for a story(or gameplay), and names of planets, and things that are on that planet. That would be very helpful. Thank you.

Here would is some items/planet names/weapons that i thought of (just so you know what i would like):

*Items:
- Gem- Used to give more power to your creatures. Note that it doesn't have enough power alone to upgrade your creature.
- Energy Canister- Used to power your ship, or give more energy to some of your creatures. Note that it doesn't have enough power alone to upgrade your creature.
- Gear- Can be used to fix your ship, or upgrade some of the creatures you have
- Rapid Clip- Used to upgrade slow firing weapons.

Planet Names:

The player goes around Galaxy, while conquering other Solar Systems, and Planets. The player has "weapons" that help conquer the planets.

What are the player challenges? What obstacles does he face? What skills does he use?


The player challenges are trying to conquer planets. The obstacles the player faces would be: Black Holes, Other Ships, Aliens, and Sun Explosions. The players' skills that he uses would be speed, attack, special attack, and weapon intelligence.

Once again... if you need any more information on anything, just tell me, and ill edit this post... again.

BTW: The game is currently in version 0.1_0- I am almost at the game design portion of it. All i need is some decent planet names, item names and uses, and wepons/creatures.

First: no zombies. Make them aliens, or something, but not zombies.

Second: What kind of game would this be? RTS battles with turn-based overworld? RTS battles with RPG overworld? FPS battles with... you get the point. (I always thought it would be funny to make a game with turn-based battles and an RTS overworld). Or, is it all one seamless transition (Asteroids)? If so, what gameplay mechanism?

Third: Cool idea. I might work on some of the suggestions you asked for. As for names of planets and stuff, I suggest procedural generation. It's pretty awesome, and not too hard to pull off if you know what you're doing. In addition, there's a really good procedural planet name generator floating somewhere around the GMC...

The reason I chose zombies is because they are the least powerful weapon there is. I won't choose Aliens because they have lazers, and ships, and stuff.

Second: What kind of game would this be? RTS battles with turn-based overworld? RTS battles with RPG overworld? FPS battles with... you get the point. (I always thought it would be funny to make a game with turn-based battles and an RTS overworld). Or, is it all one seamless transition (Asteroids)? If so, what gameplay mechanism?



Probably a top-down type game. Maybe a side-scroller. I am not really sure about that one.
