The GMC Game Jam winners have been announced and it's a tie for first place! Congratulations to TrueValhalla and Ziggler1 who will each recieve a copy of GameMaker:HTML5 amongst a host of other prize goodies.

1st place:

Disillusion by TrueValhalla

A minimalistic, kind of abstract platform game with a focus on exploration.

Break The Facade by Ziggler1

Help bridge the gap between the two opposite worlds moving obstacles in one world to alter the other.

3rd place:

An Inconvenient Facade by RetardedLemon

In a world where nothing is what it seems, can you find a way to move on?

The full list of the order of winners and their games to download and play can be found here Thanks to all 60 entrants, what a fantastic, creative lot you are! We particularly like the compilation video of all the game entries by GMC member theSnidr who kindly put this together :)

I¡'d just like to add my congratulations to the winners, and extend those to everyone that participated. This Jam has been a blast and I am really proud to have been a part of it. Everyone that participated did so with the true creative spirit of the Jam behind them and in my book EVERYONE came out a winner this time round!

Here's to you all and I look forward to the next Jam at the end of April!

Lol! After the sour note the last Jam finished on I think I have a right to be pleased about this one, no?

I feel like TheSnidr's games are always top notch, but we have to let other people win so he isn't the winner every time! Not saying other's games aren't great, what I'm trying to say is that his games out-do the other games in terms of complexity. He manages to create something very mathematical and unique, and there should be a different competition for those types of games! Everyone that won this jam definitely deserved to, though :) Very well presented and fun to play entries! Nice jam everyone, can't wait for the next one! Congratulations True Valhalla, Ziggler1, and Retarded Lemon!

Aww, thanks <3
But since when was this about me? :P The game I submitted is my most complex game yet (excluding my work in progress, Planetoids), though unfortunately for me, complex does not necessarily equal fun - and people are probably looking for fun when playing games.
On a separate note - of course I should be allowed to win every time! I just let somebody else win this time, as I don't really need GM html5 at the moment.
...
I do want it though...

-snip-

On that note, when will the next Jam be held?

Three months from the end of january, you do the math :)
