Hello there!
Posted Image
"Fowl Play" is a project my friends and I have been working on for about the past 3 months on and off. Here is a playable version of the game, but still under progress.

****FOWL PLAY ****

Fowl Play is a fun platformer where you play as a purple character whose goal is to satisfy the hungry snake. To do so, he must traverse the level in search of chickens, which will be guarded by farmers, surrounded by spikes, or any number of obstacles. Once he has these chickens, he must carefully throw them into the mouth of the moving snake.

Haha this is really amazing, the graphics simple yet effective and not bad at all.
I've never seen this concept before and its very promising, the humor in the game, the level names, the way you throw chickens.
I also love the enemies, I mean, farmers that rage after you when you try to steal the chicken, its just funny.

I had 1 bug, in level 4 I stood on the snake trying to throw chickens to its head when I glitched through the snake and fell down and died...

Yes we are currently working on better snake-chicken bouncing and such, snake bodies and chickens don't get along

The graphics are simple yet stylish and fit the game very well. Good job! :) The music isn't exceptionally good, but again, it's quite catchy and fitting for the game.

Here are some some thoughts about the game:

*I think you're introducing a lot of new stuff very fast. It's a good thing that you have variation, but you shouldn't introduce new things every level, unless it's very simple. For example, levels 1-3 were okay, but I think you could use the farmer enemies to create enough gameplay for 2-3 levels and introduce the ninjas after that. The red hands could be introduced 2 levels after the ninjas. Currently, the pace you're introducing new things with just
seems too fast.
*Add a save system! I don't want to start over from the beginning every time. This would also help the testers try the later levels.
*The ninjas are very hard to avoid unless you know where they're coming from, since you'd need to have lightning-fast reflexes.

I played the first six levels, and I must say that it didn't quite have that something that would have made me keep on playing. Don't take me wrong though: Currently, the game isn't bad, and I believe with some re-desinging (the pace that you use to introduce new stuff, redesigning some parts of levels) this would make a good game. I hope you keep on working on this! :)

I quite like the music! I appreciate good funk when I hear it

The graphics are refreshing and successfully pull of the "simple" style that so many others try to achieve but come off looking cheap.

I am finding the controls a little difficult to get used to, but starting to get the hang of it.

The level design is very solid. I agree that you may be adding new elements too quickly and to perhaps smooth out the learning curve over a greater number of levels. All of the obstacles themselves seem to be working great though.

The menus, music, sounds and graphics all tie together really well in a cohesive way! Keep up the good work!
