All the time when I am playing games made using game maker, all the sounds "lags". It's very annoying, and I wish to get it fixed ASAP. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance!

Can you guys help me out, please? This issue is very irritating, and I need more info than just "Upgrade your PC".

All sounds should not be mp3 files... use .wav for sound effects. I you are using .wav, then your sample rate and or quality is simply too high.

Thanks so much for the response! But... that's not what I meant. The "lag" happens whenever I play games made by other people in the sandbox. Thanks anyways, though.

It's almost a sure thing that these games are using mp3 sounds as FX, something that is a bad practice.

The lags comes from the process of de-compression of the mp3 files before the sound plays (mp3 files are compressed wave files).

So these games that you tried to play are "supposed" to generate that lag.

The lag i'm talking about is not actually the game itself, it's the music and the sounds. They lag. I have also checked, and not all sounds are MP3 format. However... I do appreciate your responses.

Well, all I can add is...

If there is some sound that is not .wav format, it will cause lag. Period.
