Main menu seems to look nice from the screenshot, don't have time to test it right now.

You might not want to make any text in your post purple as it is very hard to read.

Maybe the forum background was still white when this was posted?

A nice little game, and good for some casual diversion. It seemed very complete, given it was made in 72 hours for a GMC Jam. So nice job on that. +1

The graphics are rather simple, but they're descriptive. (Of course, having a short immunology lecture on the HELP page was helpful too.) But it was pretty clear which are the healthy cells, and which are the infected cells. And the little explosion effect when the cells burst open to release their pathogens is nicely done.

The sounds and music are good. Actually, the choice of song in the background was very fitting: the calypso tune reminded me of the time I got dysentery after eating raw oysters from a beach vendor in Mexico. Ah... memories.

That aside, the game was good. Enjoyed it.

EDIT: spelling

Oops... Sorry about that! Yes, I'm using the white theme, so that's probably why I didn't catch that.
It should be fixed now.

  • Thanks for putting the files in a folder in the zip!
  • The text on the buttons in the main menu is hard to read (blue on blue...). Also, I'd put the play button topmost and maybe make it bigger than the others.
  • The score text could use some antialiasing.
  • The music could use some variation.
  • The principle seems pretty straightforward to me, why is the manual so long?
From what I see I just have to move around and catch all green things and swim out of the screen if it says "vacuole full".
If you showed a message on how to move and what to do when the game starts and also said what to do if the vacuole is full, noone would have to read to manual.

All in all, this is a really nice little game.

Thanks for the great tips! Posted Image

I'd lke to take a small poll here and ask:
How many of you would want to see Cellz developed further and published on mobile devices or the web?
Should Cellz go that far, or should it stay kind of the way it is right now?

Also, if anyone has any really creative ideas for expanding the game further, I'd love to hear them!
