You stand looking out on the empty sky. You think you know it all, but it is mearly a facade.
There is another world that exists as part of the very ground you walk.
Break the divide that separates yourself or remain forever ignorant...

Genre: Platform/Puzzler
Break the Facade is a game in which you control two shades of yourself that traverse contrasting worlds. The two shades must work together to reach the exit to each level. How they do it is easier to understand if you try out the game!
Download here.

If you like the game, be sure to vote!
Voting has now ended. Thanks to all who voted for my game!

Controls: Arrow keys to move and "Z" to jump.

I have the feeling I made some of the levels a bit difficult. :(

Glad you like it though!

TIED FOR FIRST!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Jam and especially to those who took the time to vote and review Breaking the Facade. I intend to keep working on it and now with my copy of GM HTML5 I may make it playable from web browsers.

Congratulations to True Valhalla as well who tied with me for first place. If you haven't played Disillusion yet then I suggest you go do so. It is a wonderful and absolutely gorgeous game definitely worth playing.

nice work =)
I enjoyed playing. The music was good and the animations were decent. Graphics could use a bit of work, especially knowing which person you were controlling.
One thing I didn't like is how the black player reacted to gravity even though you were controlling the white player. I felt like it should have froze the white world while you played in the black world.
I also found that the box movement was a tad too...unreliable. The level where you have to build stairs by pushing the boxes, was very odd feeling.
I had to restart nearly 10 times.

Other than those two things, the rest of the game was well done.
Oh, I made it to level 10 before I gave up. Too many boxes, jumping, etc. for me to ragequit.

By the way, congrats on getting first place =D

You are not alone. A number of people have told me that it was a frustrating level.
I intend to fix, if not remove, the box stacking level from the final release.

Thanks! Not to worry, an update to the game is in order. I already have 14 new levels made. Hopefully I can release that somewhere in the next few weeks.

which level? all these levels seemed pretty easy, and i thought they were a good set of training levels for a much harder game to come
