I think I'd only use a 'bubble' to ask them, and probably only ask them only once, if they wanted to bookmark the app. Using codes like this:
http://cubiq.org/add-to-home-screen

It isn't typically something I'd do myself, but, well, it's been 'suggested' to me, by people whom I'm keen to please.

Memory has been updated!

A few changes:

*play against a computer opponent!
*a few different card patterns (selected randomly) when playing a Vs game.
*and.. and...
*lots lots more!
*maybe

I'd love it if people could give this a go! Especially on a mobile, but any device will do! The port to Html5 caused a few bugs with the computer opponent, and although I thiiink I squashed them all, I am but one man/dog!

If the game has no option for playing against the computer, then your browser is loading an old version of the game. Please clear your cache!

Thanks for looking!

Very nice! Another great game from DesertDog! The gameplay is smooth, and works perfectly on my iPod. Great game, I really look forward to any others you build for handheld devices. Keep it up!

P.S: Maybe make a slightly longer game next time.

Thanks Zester! Haha, yeah, longer game.. :S I'm trying to keep these one's bit-sized for mobile, but will try to make something a bit longer some time!

For whoever is interested, I've made an Easter Edition of Memory, you can check it out here:

Good for seasonal spirit! ;D Tests are, as always, very welcome, although the code base is exactly the same as the other memory (just all the graphics have changed!)

Could you post a tutorial about this game? I'm new on this and would like to create some memory games for my students but I lack the knowledge to do that. If you could do that it would be awesome. :)

What version of GM do you have?

Chronic made an example in GM-Studio:

Which I haven't looked at, but is sure to be good.

Nice little games, DD +1. It's familiar game play (of course), but a nice diversion. Seems like a natural app for mobile platforms.

The graphics are a bit "flat". You might consider adding little touches like drop shadows to give some depth. Maybe even a few animated pairs.

Cool game...Would be really good for kids too...to help their memory.

What kind of leaf is that on the leaf card.

You may want to color it yellow or red so it doesn't look like a marajuana leaf.

Runs with far higher fps on my pc than on iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1 running, but it works.

How about a dedicated PC HTML 5 version...with 2x bigger graphics display.
