Game: Cosmic Apocalypse
Genre: Strategy
Generation: 3
Version: 3.1.5
Description: The basic idea is that you start off with a single colony with minimal tech. You then build out your empire, colonizing and conquering at will. The goal is to become the top empire in the galaxy. In the demo, the player can choose out their fleet and the enemy's by dragging the ships into the fleet boxes on the right. The objective is to destroy or capture the enemy ships. The enemy now has full combat AI and employ different tactics against you. The scenario ends when one of the fleets is destroyed, and it takes the player back to the fleet menu. Pressing 'Q' quits early and brings you back to the fleet menu. Pressing 'P' pauses the game.

The game seems like its developing nicely.
But the game shot down to 10 fps while moving.
Also, sounds might make it more interesting. Felt like I was watching a gif animation.
Nonetheless, it's a good start.

It's nice to finally recieve some feedback. The FPS issue is one that I've been tackling for a while and I've pin pointed the major sources, so I'll try to get it fixed by the next update. The lack of sound is because, I have no sound guy. I will add them as soon as I get some, guaranteed! Version 3.1.5 will be available in a week or so, so stay tuned!

New update coming soon. Major upgrades include completed unit GUI and advanced positioning system. Will also include refinements and additions to current targeting and AI systems. Version 3.1.8 will be ready in 2-3 weeks.

I would keep the screen shaking for only when a ship blows up. It must have been the kind of ship I chose because I replayed and the screen is not shaking now...

Zooming in and out would be fun

The hud is a little intrusive (informative to the developer no doupt), I would shy away from a standard hud you see on everyone of these types of games, you have an interesting method to switch huds. I would have a micro hud above the ship when I have it selected and hold down a key

The hud / gui is actually the main focus of my upcoming update. The shaking I can tweak to only ship deaths. The new gui will minimize ship mini hud and put most of the control and display into my new collapsable gui / hud. The strikecraft will alsobe deployed in squadrons instead of in singles. My squadron positioning system will also be used to make ship formations when a group is moving. Thanks for the insight!

BTW, the shaking happens when a weapon hits of sufficient strength.
