Audio enhancement for future GM releases?

It seems that there are a lot of posts regarding problems with audio in GameMaker. When will YoyoGames address these issues and make GameMaker audio-friendly?

Audio is a HUGE and ESSENTIAL part of making video games.

I've harped on them about them myself. If you have an urgent need, you can use one of the available extensions.

The Audio system will be totally scrapped and re-written in GM9. It's pants.

Probably... but don't expect them to just work. Things will be very different.

I understand that it will take a while before GM9 is available. Can you please elaborate (or provide a link) on "available [audio] extensions" for GM:HTML5 games?

No date yet, and yes. Major update to a new version (not sub-version), so you'll need to buy again - or stay with GM8.x if your happy enough with it.

Question. Will we see an audio enhancement for that? As developing mobile phone games with a substandard audio function would be of not great quality.

Or...have YoyoGames done something to the Audio in GM Studio already to fix this?

According to software cycling procedure the publisher releases his work ONLY when there's already an improvement ready as an update. Thus, they develop version 1.0, playtest it, find a bunch of errs, troubleshoot some of them, have new version updated as 1.1. release version 1.0 -- and now the cycle reiterates with higher version numbers ;)

So, they must be ready to give a specific answer.

No, as it is based of GMK 8, there will be at best a small update for audio, nothing substantial. I don't have any evidence but what I know points to that.
