So, I decided to take a try at making an extension... and it came out alright!

Name: World Generation Extension

Creator: Magmaramus(Me)

Current Version: v1.1 beta

Features:

+Random world generation
+Lag reduction
+Support for multiple types of blocks(currently supports 4 different types, with decreasing probability)

Future additions:

+Support for multiple types of blocks

+More flexibility overall
+Many more functions!

I realize that right now there isn't much, but I'm sure, even with its current limited use, someone will find it useful!

Yeah lol. I have been trying to finish this but I have no time due to the holidays and such. Hopefully it will be done soon!

This is way too limited to be useful to anyone. It needs a lot of improvements before it is. You shouldn't need a "remove lag" function. Also, you should just need to use the "generate world" in a create/room start event.

great idea though! also make generation related to fps, more fps=more complicated generation algo.

I actually made something like this in GML, with 3 arguments (minimal world height + max world height + world seed), supporting different objects depending on the situation they are created, in about 5 minutes xP
Does this only work for 2d?

The script that I have currently is much more advanced and flexible, but because of Extension Maker's limits, I cannot put all of the features that it is capable of into a GEX. If anyone wants the scripts, either PM me or post it here.

Really good but you should make it so you can put a percentage of blocks spawning... Also make it so it has an option for caves then it would be rlly amazing
