So I was looking for a partner a while back to help me develop and test HTML5 games on android. Well recently I decided to just purchase GMHTML5 and try it out myself. This is my first game created using GMHTML5 and it is probably one of the simplest games I have ever made. But the main idea is to see how it performs on a variety of devices. I currently only have two android devices and it ran at full speed on both of mine.

So without anymore waiting here is a link to play on the web and also link to the android store application.

Play Online: Play At Webcade Arcade
Download For Android: DodgerAs Android Market

EDIT: V1.5 is out on the android market now. Fixes bugs and performance a bit. Also a large graphical overhaul. (Game is also up for playing online now)

I used the android sdk and packaged it inside of an apk basically. This way I can make it ad supported also, or sell it one of the two. This game is of course free. I just updated it and fixed a problem with boundaries not working for some reason but they work now!

iSeiren if you want more information there are some services that will do it for you. I have already been programming in android for some time so I just did it myself.

Okay I am looking into it. First question is do you have it set to "stretch" to the screen size instead of scale?

Okay hmm that is odd. It worked using stretch on my tablet. I am looking into it though and will update when I have it figured out.

Question for you. Got it working but my game starts fine and slowly grinds to a halt. Its literally a box with on screen controls that moves it up, down, left and right.

And tips on making it run faster?

Are you testing it in the android emulator or on your phone? I may have to check out your code. Mine doesn't slow down on my phone what so ever so it could be a bug.

If you wanted to create a really efficient way to run HTML5 you could create a custom webview type setup. I have been considering this as you could pull higher performance.

Tested your game on my Herotab C8 and Motorola Atrix. Works just fine.

I absolutely love your work. Your portfolio of apps look really cool.

It would be nice if you created a tutorial in creating HTML5-to-android ports. It would be helpful for those who cant wait for GM studio.

Thanks for checking out all my projects! I am glad you enjoyed my work.

As for the tutorial I may work on doing that here in the near future. Right now I am busy at work on my next two games but the second one is almost finished so I may give the tutorial a try after it is released.

Okay the game has been updated on the android market and now has new graphics, bug fixes, performance updates, and a few other small changes. It would be great if I could get some more people to test it. Game still does not work on tablets with honeycomb for some reason I think this may be a bug in the android browser on that version.

I am also submitting it to a few more app stores to get some extra downloads and it seems to be helping out some.
