Hi guys,
My game was sent to my highschool, and people can't play it because exe's are blocked. I think that the way around this would be to make a webpage and put the game on it (the webpage wouldn't need to be online, just would need to be a html file). I have seen this done elsewhere, but cannot get it done. Also, my game is 3D and the main part of it is full screen. Would the full screen bit work, I could easily change it if it wouldn't. As for links to to files, Executable and Game Maker File.Even a link to something that would work for me would be nice .

Yes, it is possible, with GameMaker:HTML5. Don't expect games to run perfectly with older computers and IE6 though.

Ya I know that, I could use the HTML5 version to convert my game, but I'm not going to be spending $100 just to convert a game so other people can view it at high school..... Any other options

Do you really think YYG would release a $100 piece of software to do something that can be done another free/cheaper way? If they did, they wouldn't make any money.

So the answer is: no. GM:HTML5 is the only way to embed GM games into a website in such a way that won't require an EXE.

On a side note, it amuses me that only a few years ago, even asking this question would get it closed immediately and possibly flamed. Now YYG supports it themselves :P .

If you trust someone, you could give that person the editable file and he could compile it for you. Be careful with this one.
