It's been awhile since I released something here, so I figured I would

DARLING SPRINGS

made for the Scary Sixity Four compo at Sixity Four Digits

(0.)----------------NOTES
  • This game contains some pretty disturbing material, faint of heart not invited
  • also it can be a little difficult at times, but this is on purpose to scare the player
  • please read the controls first
(1.)----------------CONTROLS

W - Jump, tap in midair to double jump
A - Move left
D - Move right
S - Fall through platform (the skinny light wood blocks)
Left Click - Shoot/enter aiming
Right Click - Enter/exit reloading
Escape - Return to menu/end game
F4 - Toggle fullscreen
Enter - open doors

(2.)----------------GAME PLAY

The main goal of the game consists of finding keys to escape Darling Springs. Grabbing a key results in the corresponding door automatically unlocking.

AIMING
Left Clicking will make you stop and shoot in whatever direction your cursor is pointed.

RELOADING
Right Clicking will make you stop and enter/exit reloading.To reload, left click on the empty cylinders in your revolver. Once you are completely reloaded, you will automatically exit reloading. In addition, you cannot re-enter reloading once fully reloaded.

Note: you can exit both aiming and reloading by simply moving or jumping.

(3.)----------------SAVING AND LOADING

To save, touch the glowing cross in the safehouse.

To load, simply click load game on the main menu.

Note: Make sure the game folder is extracted before saving

Interesting game. The pixel art is fantastic, I like your style. However the gameplay feels slow, not inovative+it didn't felt like it fit the game.
Haven't played for too long yet, you'll get a somewhat more detailed review of me soon.

Hay buddy,
i have already played this game now try to upload some new versions. Also i have to mention that i have just played some shooter games which are most played game online. you all can try it by your own.

Well, it was a halloween compo. I really appreciate you taking the time to check this out! It's more than I can say for 90% of the gmc.

If violence isn't your thing, maybe you should try my more family friendly game (phobos fatboy) which is ironically... harder than this game
