I am running Game Maker 7.0 on a Dell computer with windows 7. This is at a junior high school. The program works fine, but when I run the game I get the message "unexpected error occurred". This happens when running in either mode. My tech support guy won't give me any help...any ideas on minimum requirements? Is anyone else running on Windows 7 with success?

If the computer can run Windows 7 it can run Game Maker. I myself am running Windows 7 x64 so your problem has nothing to do with operating system. I do know that most schools have restrictions on program files and the registry, Game Maker requires both of these. Did you try re install or the run as administrator option?

some schools block access to certain programs / sites. to avoid students from modifying and potentially hacking the systems. you will have to run your game as an admin account. if you cant do that then your out of luck

Does it run with a blank room, and/or with no resources? (sprites.. backgrounds.. music.)
