If you changed the skin you get this error so to get the skins back :

1. Close the program.
2. Run "regedit".
3. Set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GM4HTML5\Version 1.0\Preferences\UseSkins to 1.
4. Open the program. You will get black windows with old icons now.
5. Select 'Skin' from the preferences.
6. Close and reopen the program.
7. Skin with new icons should show up now.

Thats the main solution to get the skin back, but the prefrences may remain unavailable (and give errors) until the next update.

Yes.. you can customize the code editor colours in the preferences.

We'll try and push a quick update out for the new skin issue as soon as we can.

If you do a Google search for 5piceIDE.exe the top results are torrent sites where you can download it (and probably a couple viruses to). Historically people that have problems with GM are people using cracked pirated versions. So, since this guy had no clue what he was talking about he assumed you are using a pirated version.

However, as pointed out, your error was a legitimate error and 5piceIDE.exe is the name of the Game Maker: HTML5 executable.

Its not uncommon for .exe searches to turn up torrent results, because there are probably torrent sites out there that host it.

That bug is also because of the skins file. Start GM HTML5 and then click the Ok button to close the error message. You should still be able to use the program, but things will look really weird. Next, click on File > Preferences and selected a skin to use. Click Ok and restart GM HTML5.

If the error still persists then make sure to be updated to the lastest stable version.

If that doesn't work then try updating to the latest beta release by right clicking the updater icon in your system tray and selecting the option "Beta update channel", then check for updates again.
