BUMP.

I see there are other sites out there, such as HTML5Haven and similar, but without an easy and secure upload/review pipeline. LunchGaming offers you the ability to comment, rate, sort, upload and edit games very easily and securely. You'll also have your own developer profile much like you had on the old YoYoGames (sandbox) complete with your own avatar, profile text and a full list of all your uploaded games, so that other players can easily access your products.

Also, if the possibility of revenue starts opening (once there's enough content to draw a significant number of visitors) we fully intend to share all revenue profits with all developers. But for this to happen, there needs to be more content.

Please people, won't you upload some of your fine HTML5 games? Try it - you will see how easy and safe it is! Together we can help this community grow.

Upload your game(s) here: LunchGaming.com

Thanks.

I remember seeing this when it came out. It seems like a nice site, it's a pity it hasn't taken off a bit more. Maybe I should organising myself to get a few games for this.

Not sure about that yellow-brown color on white, though. (for a bit of unwanted, web design feedback. :P ) All seems a bit pale. Give it a nice dark color. Maybe not black, but dark grey.

Thanks! I would really appreciate it. We really need to be getting some more games and attention in general... The functionality is there, we just really really need content. It could be big.

But yeah, you're right about the design though. I will get around to a re-design as soon as the time is there. :)

Right now though, we reeeally need more content *hint hint*

Actually, expect a game uploaded in an hour or 3.

This is so awesome, thanks to both of you Desert Dog and theepicgeno.

I'm looking forward to seeing som more games on there.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Next game to be uploaded (and accepted), that isn't a beta or alpha, will be the one to push Dodgeball (the first game) out of the way. Who's going to do that?

You!? Ok, go right ahead: http://www.lunchgaming.com/!

Question: How do we update our game, instead of making MORE copies of it?

Answer(maybe?): You should add an update game button, where you have to find the newly edited version of it, select it, and click update. That would be an AWESOME feature to add.

And I'll probably have an update to my game tomorrow... or I may not. I don't know yet.

It's a fair question, and I'll make sure to update the FAQ on it.

To give you a short answer: when you have an update for a game, zip it and email it to contact@lunchgaming.com.

On making an "Update game files" button:
I've considered it numerous times, but I have intentionally decided not to do it as of now. Right now, when someone uploads a game, it's only available through the backend for administrators to see and test. Once an admin has reviewed it, he can then accept or decline it. If he declines, it is erased from the server and the database. If he accepts, it goes directly to the frontpage and is made publicly available. The good thing about this is that it ensures the public user's safety; if someone uploads malicious content, it is never exposed to the general public. Worst case scenario an admin will be hurt.

Say a user uploads a game that is accepted. If he has an option to upload updated gamefiles himself once the game has gone public, then that enables him to replace the old game files with new, malicious ones that are directly public, hence potentially enabling him to make an attack.

So for the time being, when you guys have an update for your game, zip it and mail it to contact@lunchgaming.com, and we will do the work for you.

In the future you will be able to update games yourselves, and I will program a feature so that the first version of the game continues to be the only public version until the updated version has been reviewed.

I hope that makes sense. It's a little more troublesome right now, but it will change, and for the time being it's the safest solution. We don't want anyone potentially exposed to malicious code.

Hope that makes sense. :)

Yeah, that was really nice! Your game got quite a few plays from it as well. ;)

UPDATE! PLEASE READ!
Alright, a bunch of you has argued that the design needed to have a darker tone. As a response we've come up with a new design concept.
We'd like to know if this new one is better than the old one, and if so we'll get right around to integrate it. Note: it will also feature a dynamic imageslider (already made) that will display the newest updates and games in a fancy manner. ;)

Old design: https://dl-web.dropb....png?w=848d8067
New deisgn: https://dl-web.dropb....png?w=ab9bceb1

Thanks.

Alright everyone, LunchGaming now officially has a new design. On page 1 of this thread, a lot of you were complaining about the look and feel of the design being a bit amateurish, and so we'd really like you guys to check out the new (and hopefully) improved one.

There's also an animated slideshow featuring some of the best games - maybe yours can get in that too.

We'd really appreciate any feedback - and as always, more games!

Thank you.

Thank you! I'm glad you dig the design - we've actually been getting some pretty positive feedback on it so far from various places, so it seems it's heading in a better direction. Good to have it confirmed. As always, suggestions are very welcome if you think something should be improved.

We can't wait to host your game! Upload away. :)
