I've got Game Maker 8 Pro and I need to know how to make/use a text box with a photo of the character talking for a game of mine. I currently have a way of doing it but it increases th efile size exponentially and is probably overly complicated. I'd appreciate a point to anythign that can help teach me as I've never doen anythign liek this before.

you could have posted that in the novice Q&A forum .. also you may have the sprite of your character inside a box , and use draw_text to draw your text , there is a good method to make the text draw like someone is speaking so

I wasn't sure as before I had pro I had read if you had pro there was an easier way than I've being doing it with extensions.
