You do all realise that GM:Html5 is still beta? That may have something to do with it.... And the linked game lags for me, particularly when there are more than a dozen or so enemies on the screen.

The game does lag a bit for me too when there are many enemies on screen (EeePC 1.6GHz) but it still seems smooth because I believe it adapts the FPS (i.e. less frequent drawing, and game logic updated in larger steps) to the performance level of the game (as opposed to what typically happens in GameMaker games where the engine tries to perform game logic and drawing at the same rate effectively slowing down as the performance decays).

Sorry. I'm not getting stutter on any of these games. Maybe your PC(s) are just outdated? (This coming from testing on my 4 year old, computer. Dual core AMD, clocked at 2.8. Nothing fancy.)

Also: http://www.scirra.co...er/default.aspx did stutter a tiny bit, sometimes. Nothing big though.

No, my PC is not outdated :D

Not a monster but enough powerfull to launch theses games (RAM 4 Go DDR3, AMD Phenom X2 555, ATI HD 5670)...So we can forget the PC.

Both are still in Beta in fact. But I think it's not Game Maker HTML 5 and it's not Construct 2 either. Just HTML 5 and browser games in general. The fact is that we don't have any sync with a browser game and the performances depend of a lot of factor. Like flash, games have some glitches etc...I think that will not be totally smooth.

We can see it there : for some C2 sample is smooth and for other one, is not smooth, for other gm html 5 projects are smooth and for other one not etc.. etc... We can't do anything. But we can use delta time coding to inscrease the performances. The game speed will be adjust depending programs that run on the PC when you play (for example).

In fact I don't know what to think but i'm not alone to have this experience, so I would like to know if it's simply a code problem (on the project) or the engine of GM or other things :) But it seems that the experience is different for each user.

Thank's for sharing your experience, and see you again here for a entire project coded in GM Html 5 :)

PS : test Gm HTML 5 and C2 with Opera, it seems that is the otherwise, this GM that is more smooth than C2 on Opera.

It's strange but I think there is a lot of "random things" in HTML 5 :)

Happy coding !
