Hey guys!
First of all, I would like to say how great GM for HTML5 is. Despite the bugs since its only a beta, it is SO COOL! Anyways, I am fairly new to FTP stuff and need some help with Filezilla putting games on my site. I am using weebly to make my website and Filezilla seems to not be accepting my user/pass combo. It says it times out and then doesnt connect. If there is any solution, please help!
Thanks!

Weebly doesn't allow FTP access as far as I know, you'll need to drag-drop each folder individually

As far as I can tell, none of the main free website builders will permit the HTML5 games to be uploaded and run... Hopefully someone will prove me wrong, however!

I tried that, and I am so confused... Where do I put each file? Thanks!

I've checked out Weebly, and they have (as far as I can tell) no way of uploading to the server the files and folders necessary for HTML5 games to work.

This might be a stupid question, but, given that if you want to host your games on your own site you will obviously need to purchase a domain & pay for web hosting, how do you tell if a web host will be able to allow the upload of the GM-HTML5 games?

Nocturne, I spent all night last night figuring it out.

But I found one, just one, that allowed it, and also had FTP support.

I was going to post a tutorial, but I wasn't sure if I could. But I'll work on it right away.

The closest thing I've got to adding to weebly is loading an iframe with the html module. But that doesn't allow the frame to register input rather than mouse position.

Edit: Wow, did not mean to do that... Totally forgot I had posted here. Multiple tabs have bit me again.

I've used HawkHost.com for a while now, and prefer them over the dozens I've tried over the past 13 years or so. For the price it cannot be beat (< $20 all inclusive I believe) and they also have great upgrade plans, but you can check out this forum to do a little research on the one you want, or check out this specefic subforum to get an idea of the costs. If it's your first paid host you definitely want to go with shared hosting.

You want to make sure your host offers FTP Accounts (1 minimum). Having a webhost with cPanel or Fantastico is a plus, as it makes your life easier when you need to get to the nitty gritties. But yeah with hawkhost I've had no problems, they offer a moneyback guarantee which I have used, blazing fast customer support compared to some of the more well known, stellar uptime...I really can't say anything bad about (but most of the servers are US based if I'm not mistaken)

Yup, I've used Weebly a lot and one of it's major flaws is you have no FTP access (or databases, or PHP, for that matter).

What I did was make a x10Hosting account for the files, and then used iframes to link it all with Weebly. Works perfectly! Want to see it in action? Click on my sig!

EDIT: Oh, to get keyboard input you have to click on the grey border first.

I think 00webhost is one of the only free hosts with FTP access, but you have to code your site with HTML, php and css :)

Someone I saw used dropbox for putting up games on weebly. I'm not exactly sure how he did it, but the URL looked like:
