They're the first couple of links here.
As a point of interest I submitted Ne Touchez Pas HTML5 to a couple of the first results when you search the internet for "HTML5 Games". It was accepted on both - one actually seems to have branched out and also added R5maddening and Mark's games too, and NTPHTML5 is also spreading to other portals without any prompting.
Ne Touchez Pas on HTML5Games.com
Ne Touchez Pas on HTML5-Games.org
If you go through http://html5-games.org/ you'll see Mark's games and R5maddening also.
Others: NTP on Vectorlight.net NTP on HTML5Games.de

Anyways, I am really glad Game Maker has came this far. I think the marketability of Game Maker and the games created with it will be a lot more profitable.
I've been using GM since GM4 and it DEFINITELY has provided me a strong introduction into the programming world. Without using GM, learning other programming languages would have been a much harder concept to grasp.

Ditto. GM3 for me.

That game is a lot more fun if you press F10 when playing.

It lags on my laptop
But the full version will have an adjuster to change screen size, as well as 1vs1 multiplayer

...You might also want to check out html5.gamemaker.nl/Growth/ for a little speed demo.
Mark Overmars
Works on iPhone/Safari at about 3fps. I think that's quite impressive.
Really tempted to buy so I can write iPhone 'apps'.

This demo was definitely not written for iPhone. HTML5 is still rather slow on iPhone. But from the beta we can conclude that performance in iOS5 will be about 10 times better.
Still, if you want to create games for iPhone and Android you have to design them more carefully than you might be used to. Use a relatively small room size, avoid precise collision checking (and actually any collision checking you can), avoid scaling and rotation of sprites, etc.
This is not a problem with GameMaker. It is a problem with the current HTML5 implementations. For example, iOS4 does not have hardware accelerated graphics in HTML5. But as I indicated, this is getting better very fast.

I have followed the development of GM for over a decade now,and I have to say,it has indeed come a long way from it's early development.
During this time it has evolved in many aspects, and into many areas of creation.
I have to say Kuddo's(which is a positive exclamation),to everyone concerned,of whom have continued to participate in it's development.
One can barely imagine the shear amount of time, headaches, frustrations, that have taken place to get to the current point of the overall vision.
While expanding further possibilities(particularily in the areas of mobile devices) and web browser access.
I remember the first time that YoYO games, started making GM games available on their webpage,I thought to myself what a wonderful tool if
that feature was made available to users.
And now it seems that HTML5,is just that,a tool that will accelerate the advancement of learning, and increased quality overall.
Over the years I have purchased several GM versions, and although the HTML5 version is significantly higher in cost by comparison to other versions.
I would have to say,it is well worth it,and if anything probably well below it's actual value.
I know because I have the Adobe Master Collection CS3(2007),which many of you know is still quite expensive even today the least amount that it can be
Purchased for is around $550.00 on a popular auction site.
Having to delve into flash in the last few years, which has the capabilities of developing for cell phone/mobile devices etc.
Many will agree, that the HTML5,will by no doubt reduce development times for such games and applications.
While making it easier I think overall to serve those products on a social media site, such as Face Book.
Perhaps I'll make available a few games I've made over the years using GM? while most of my games have been poker and slot machine type games,
I have also created a number of shooter games etc.
Most of those games, have taught my children(I home school),a fun and great way of solving problems, teaching one to look at something in several aspects is
a plus, when it comes to discovering not only a solution, but several solutions to a problem.
And with that,I'm purchasing the HTML version,I want to learn more myself.
And pass that knowledge on to my children.
You know,I have never preached to my children about the importance of learning, they learned the importance by watching me.
One of the most satisfying moments I have during a weekend,is seeing my children reading a book by Tolkien, and they are only 11 and 14,on their own,in their free time.
A programmer knows, what reading is about, and overall if students excepted that algebra is something to be read, they will also learn that it has to be practiced.
Repetition is the key to expanding the understanding of that knowledge,so that it's not forgotten over time, they acquire the skill.
The same as a Pianist,or any other musician.
Looking forward to the HTML5,and thank you to everyone involved!
