Hey folks, I decided to make an example of Portals.

Yeah, that was really bad...

I appreciate the thought put into it, but really, there was little effort. This isn't exactly a "3D" example, either, just a 2D example with some (weird) 3D items tacked on.

Despite what everyone else here seems to be saying, this example is not all the bad. Albeit the graphics make my head hurt. But the actual portals are not that bad. I ran it in debug mode and I never dropped under 60fps. Maybe don't use an ellipsoid next time and the portal images won't seem to shift so much when you walk around them. I'd suggest adding more functionality like strafing and looking up and down and it would probably be rather nice.

After disabling the ear-numbing vocaloid music, it was actually quite interesting to play around with.

I'd give you a 6/10 for the example, and -10/10 for your music choice.

Haha, you definitely had fun designing the example. It's nifty, relatively simple; but good enough to help users on creating portals. I loved the cool effects you've added, it definitely added more to the example then just warping through portals.

Thats not bad.
storkEXEC is a girl. Thats why she like to shoot at feminine pink cute cudlye monsters. Due to all respect of girls, dont call this very bad.

Ratings.
Graphics suck + I am a guy and the pink hurts my eyes.
The Asian song we dont understand though nice Korean music.
Need real creatures rather the boxes even if they are feminine aliens.
Need attack moves andaliens that try to attack you.

The circles give a portal effect but Far from finished. Keep with your work storkEXEC.

Was that what it was? I'm glad GM has trouble with sound cards then and didn't play any music..

The portal mechanics were a bit broken, as they don't accommodate for every situation or if the surface is even valid.

I assume the black is the outside of the level, as the portals are intersecting. Also in this screenshot, I am stuck in a wall.

That music made me smile :turned:
I like the japanese atmosphere but... it is a bit too girly...
The portals are also good coded and I would never come up with an idea like that :)
