dont dump your music, send it to me and ill convert it to a MUCH smaller format for you. just put the files you want compressed in a zip, upload and pm it to me!

About the music, I've seen quite a few people mention .ogg as a great extension.

This functionality is only available in the Standard Edition of GameMaker.so external resources are not available in Lite, unless the manual is wrong, or someone forgot to prohibit those functions.
A weak workaround this would be executing a premade command line application made in another language to play a given sound, as MCI_command() is not supported in lite either.

BTW, is there a way to open external mp3 without using default music player?
